I presume that your vehicle is a Petrol vehicle, the fuel filter is located at the front of the fuel tank at the rear of the vehicle, the vehicle will have to be raised off the ground to carry out the opperation. If your vehicle is a diesel the fuel filter is under the bonnet bolted to the cylinder head on the gearbox side of the engine. If you change the coolant you can add any type of anti freeze, if it is to be topped up you must use the same type, any Ford dealer supplies both. To drain the coolant, the easiest way is to remove the lower hose off the radiator (be carefull if the coolant is hot) Refit the hose and replenish the anti freeze. When you top up coolant mix it with water 50/50 No need to when replenishing

hi all at jennings, my 2004 fiesta lx has a coolant leak underleak, removed plastic cover for belts, the leak is a visible dribble from behind the pulley wheel which i presume to be the water pump, could you please further advise and give cost of repair should pump/seals require renewal, keeping level topped up weekly even though its a very small leak, thanks and regards,

Hi there brill site, My question is: I have a Mar 2006 Galaxy 1.9TDI 130 PS Ghia. when are the servicing intervals i have 33.000 miles on my car and the on board computer is telling me 3rd service now. Butmy maintianance book says servicing periods every 12,500 miles so that means about 37,000 miles for 3rd servicing. I spoke to the guys at out local ford dealership and the mechanics started arguing with each other as they each gave me a different answer?. I had this problem with the first time it required a service according to the on board computer. The dealer said the computer was wrong and switched it off?? Can you please advise me when I require to get my car serviced as I have lost faith in the dealership mechanics here. Thanks

Your vehicle should be serviced every year or every 12,500 ,miles, so your next service is due either 1 year or 12,500 miles after the last service. the indicator light on the dash can be reset and may well have been set after the fisrt service or before the second, so check the book, if there are no stamps, i would recommend the 3rd service be carried out when the vehicle is 3 years only regards

Hi, I'm a bit confused about coolant. I've just bought my first car - a 1999 fiesta finesse 3 door petrol. You make reference in other answers to blue and orange coolant, but mine just looks clear. Does this mean it doesn't have enough antifreeze in it, or could it be clear antifreeze? i.e. are there only two types of antifreeze - blue and orange? Which type of antifreeze should I add, and if it needs to be drained is that something I can just do myself or would it need flushing out or anything? Thanks.

If the coolant looks clear i would drain the system and replenish. when there is no coolant in the system you can either add the blue or the orange antifreeze do not mix

hello mate i have a ord fiesta mk4 V reg and the front windscreen squirters do not squirt out water properly it just dribbles out... could the pipes taking the water from the reservoir to the squirters be blocked? if so where could i get new pipes or how could i take them out to clear a blockage???? cheers mate michael.

Yes they could be blocked, check for kinks in the pipes and sometimes the filter blocks at the tank end
